What is Trigger Email?
Trigger Email enables clients to programmatically launch targeted email campaigns to HCP's and efficiently track performance and user engagement in real time.

How Trigger Email works?

User Action & Identification
- When a specific user action or predefined event occurs—such as engaging with content, completing a form, or visiting a website—the client system identifies the user through tracking mechanisms (e.g., cookie, ID match, or event trigger).
- If the user is matched to an NPI (e.g., 123456789 for Dr. Jane Doe), an email trigger can be initiated through Trigger Email API.

Initiate the Trigger via API
- A POST request is sent to the Trigger Email API with the required parameters:
- NPI: The matched HCP’s unique identifier.
- Campaign ID: The ID of the preconfigured email campaign template.

Email Delivery
- The Trigger Email platform identifies a valid, deliverable email address for the HCP NPI and sends the campaign email specified in the API request.

Automated Resends
- If the HCP does not open the initial email within a specified number of days, the Trigger Email platform will automatically follow up by resending it, based on the configured retry rules.

Cooldown Period
- After an HCP has received or opened an email from a particular campaign, a cooldown period (example: 30 days) is applied to prevent over-messaging.
- Once the cooldown period is complete, new emails will be sent if the HCP meets the trigger conditions again.
