Provider NSA

No Surprises Act

The No Surprises Act (NSA) is a federal law enacted in January 2022 which protects consumers from unexpected ("surprise") medical bills, specifically where the patient had no control over their provider or facility delivering care. This is most common with emergency services where the organization and/or provider is out-of-network with the patient's insurance plan.

Healthcare Payors

Most pressing requirement is for health insurers to verify their provider network every 90 days and suppress from the directory any provider that can’t be verified, plus health plans must pay in-network benefits for any provider still listed on directory. These regulations apply to all commercial plans, including ERISA self-funded health plans.

Provider NSA

HealthLink Dimensions created Provider NSA to assist with validating data on healthcare organizations and providers. Our database contains an unrivaled 5.8 million records with precise data on healthcare professionals and facilities.

Health plan's on-line directory is perhaps the plan's most visible digital asset. Provider NSA starts with our extensive database then uses a 3-Pass verification process to engage with organizations allowing clinics an easy to navigate application to maintain their own data with minimal effort. Our APIs and Webhooks provide payers with a seamless way to maintain the most up-to-date information possible.

This documentation provides everything needed for your development team to share and ingest data easily to leverage the triple solution of Big Data, Provider Self-Attestation, and Live Outreach to solve the provider directory challenge and meet No Surprises Act requirements.
